Videos are an underused tool in remote work.
With videos, you can do async demos. This is important for remote work where people are at different, sometimes opposite timezones.
Videos can also work as a substitute for sitting down with someone in the office to explain something.
Rather, you can just send them you explaining that concept in a video and they can watch it in their own time.
Also, that video will now serve as a knowledge base for future reference.
Videos also add a human touch to online communication. Depending on the situation, this may be very welcome.
Remember that your video doesn't need to be perfect. It won't be used on the landing page for marketing. One-shot, no-edit will do.
So there's no reason you can't make them.
If your team uses only text and images for storing knowledge and not videos, you are missing out.
